Breaking down Bitcoin miner manufacturers’ multi-billion-dollar contracts for 2022

Despite a massive shutdown of Bitcoin miners in China in mid-2021 after the country’s toughest ever crackdown, the Bitcoin network’s total hashing power has grown by 40 EH/s from 133 EH/s in January to 173 EH/s by the end of the year.

This is partially a result of the shipments of the newest generation of mining equipment made by major Bitcoin miner manufacturers to institutional buyers globally as part of their pre-orders ahead of time since late 2020.
