Throughout history, inventors of disruptive technologies have leveraged mass media events to disseminate their revolutionary ideas. By voicing the trailblazing nature of their creations through a metaphoric megaphone, this strategy has helped their innovations reach their tipping point, spilling over into the mainstream. Be it Apple’s “Think Different” advertising campaign, or Thomas Edison’s savvy media deployment, across generations, pioneers have relied on powerful marketing tactics as a vital tool to tap into a wider audience. Unsurprisingly, NFTs have been no exception to this rule.

Although expectations for the Super Bowl weekend to catapult NFTs into the mainstream seem to have been somewhat overinflated, the Bud Light commercial did indeed feature the NFT project, Nouns, marking an important first appearance for NFTs on the world stage of paramount media exposure.
