Searching for Alpha: Honeyland

Launched in 2021, Honeyland is a Unity-powered mobile app game developed by Hexagon Studios where players manage a swarm of bees in both PvE and PvP scenarios. The game is built on Solana and uses Web3Auth to create, sign, and transact with HXD token as its in-game currency.

Honeyland's core focus is removing the usual onboarding and UI / UX frictions associated with Web3 gaming. This includes: (1) making its app available in both the Apple and Google Play app stores, (2) one-click account creations with sign-ins via Apple / Google ID, (3) easy purchasing of its in-game currency HXD using Apple and Google Pay, and (4) gasless onchain transactions for in-game actions.
