Story Protocol: Tokenizing Intellectual Property

Story Protocol is a layer 1 (L1) blockchain that has positioned itself as an “IP blockchain”. It raised $80M in a Series B funding round led by a16z crypto, as reported by The Block in August 2024.

The blockchain essentially enables creators to tokenize their intellectual property (IP) on the blockchain, with the ability to define custom licensing terms, automate royalties and settle disputes while maintaining the flexibility to escalate matters to traditional legal systems, if necessary.
