Lightning Network development firm ACINQ raises $8M Series A

ACINQ, one of the three main Lightning Network development firms, has raised an $8 million Series A led by Idinvest Partners, with the participation of Serena and Bpifrance, a state-owned French investment bank.

According to ACINQ, the new round of financing will be used to expand its business as a major Lightning node operator and liquidity provider. To date, ACINQ has raised a total of $10 million in venture funding.

ACINQ is known for its Eclair Lightning network implementation and mobile wallet app. The firm has also developed Strike, an API for businesses to accept Lightning Network payments.
