Crypto-related M&A activity hitting record highs

According to JMP Securities' Satya Bajpai, there were 115 announced crypto- and blockchain-related M&A deals which represent a 200% increase in the number of deals on an annualized basis as of October 15th, 2018. During the same period, cryptoassets lost more than 65% of their value and volume fell 55%. In his report, Bajpai concludes, based off data from pitchbook, that there is a disconnect between value and valuation, and that early stage investments are priced at a discount. (Source: CNBC)
