This past week J.P Morgan's Global Research franchise refreshed their quarterly Perspectives series, with this issue being a follow up to last year's annual "full-house view" on blockchain and cryptocurrencies. While many like to label views expressed in the report as "J.P. Morgan says X," it's worth noting that the report offers an in-depth collection of varying views across multiple global research analyst teams and even broader business lines, including representation from: 4 different global banking research teams, software and telecom analysts, cross-asset strategy teams, global strategy teams, and even fixed income research.

This cross-section of views is what I've always seen as the true value in producing these in-depth perspective reports, as it gives you a better scope of how varying market participants view the technology within their own area of expertise. For J.P. Morgan specifically, its global research franchise is routinely ranked number 1 in total number of ranked analysts for a number of years running. This will likely be one of the most read blockchain and crypto thematic reports across legacy asset managers and hedge fund clients. So from that perspective, it also gives you an idea of the narratives that are being fed to that investor group.
