Fooled by Eagerness: Delistings often spell the final nail in the coffin for tokens

Delisting on Bittrex has been a death sentence for the tokens selected for the chopping block. Shortly after each announcement, token prices for nearly every project removed have dropped substantially.

Delistings have been a common trend among exchanges throughout the year. Binance, OKEx, Poloniex and others have purged their token listings in attempt to cut down on unnecessary risks for tokens that fail to bring in enough trading revenue. Since mid-April, Bittrex has been delisting tokens on nearly a weekly basis. In total, 41 tokens have been removed within the past three months.
