Libra provoked diverse reactions from lawmakers and global regulators this year. Here's a look back at the highs and lows

This post is a bit of housekeeping in compiling all of our notes from this year's Libra congressional hearings, as well various statements issued by regulators across the globe in response to Libra and stablecoins.

20 Republican house committee members and 29 Democratic members asked questions of Zuckerberg. Interestingly, 90% of the Republicans that asked questions had at least one specific question focused on Libra, while just under 50% of Democratic committee asked at least one specific question on Libra. The other half of Democrats approached the meeting to address broader Facebook concerns over privacy, political ad policy, diversity, etc.
