Research: Google Play app store’s top search results for cryptocurrency apps

As half of the mobile app store duopoly, Google has an outsized influence on what end-users download and use on their mobile devices. Google’s open-sourced mobile operating system, Android, is by far the most popular mobile operating system in the world, with over 2 billion devices that support it. For comparison, Apple has an estimated 900 million active iPhones worldwide.
