It has now been over three months since the crypto industry took one of its most significant steps toward integrating bitcoin with the traditional financial system with the launch of spot exchange-traded funds (ETFs) in the United States. Nine new ETFs hit the market (BlackRock’s IBIT, Fidelity’s FBTC, Ark Invest and 21Shares’ ARKB, Bitwise’s BITB, Franklin Templeton's EZBC, Invesco and Galaxy’s BTCO, VanEck’s HODL, Valkyrie’s BRRR, and WisdomTree’s BTCW), along with Grayscale’s GBTC being converted from a trust to a fund, and Hashdex’s DEFI which switched from a bitcoin futures ETF to a spot one.

The flows of the ETFs have been widely watched as people try to gauge whether these new financial instruments are helping drive more interest in the largest digital asset. For the most part, the main takeaway from the flows has been that money is flowing into these new ETFs while investors continue to exit from Grayscale’s GBTC.
