Addressing the Tether apologists

A class-action lawsuit was filed yesterday against Bitfinex and Tether alleging over $1.4 trillion in damages for defrauding investors, manipulating markets, and concealing illicit proceeds. 

While the lawsuit doesn’t make any particularly strong arguments and relies heavily on one non-peer reviewed study that has been criticized, the suit can still be amended and could lead to Bitfinex/Tether having to answer discovery. It’s possible it’s been filed to get publicity so that the class members are aware of the proceedings.
