A newly formed political action committee backed by Chainlink Labs and Anchorage Digital released its first batch of endorsements as U.S. midterm elections begin to take shape.
That list includes four Senate and six House candidates — a mix of both Democrats and Republicans — according to a statement released on Thursday by the Blockchain Leadership Fund.
"As blockchain technology moves further into mainstream finance, sustained bipartisan leadership will play an important role in keeping the United States at the forefront of financial innovation," a Chainlink spokesperson said in the statement.
The PAC will be endorsing Senate candidates Barry Moore, R-Ala., Kurt Alme, R-Mont., Jon Husted, R-Ohio and Angie Craig, D-Minn. On the House side, BLF is backing Houston Gaines, R-Ga., Jim Kingston, R-Ga., Jon Bonck, R-Texas, Adrian Boafo, D-Md., Christian Menefee, D-Texas and Don Davis, D-N.C.
The political action committee was created in March with the goal of backing candidates who are working to advance digital asset and blockchain policies.

Craig is a member of the House Agriculture Committee, which was pivotal in passing its version of the Clarity Act last year. Craig is seeking to secure a Senate spot after Sen. Tina Smith has said she would not seek re-election.
On Thursday, Kevin Wysocki, head of policy at Anchorage, noted the significance of securing bipartisan support for future legislation in a post on X.
"Crypto legislation and laws with bipartisan support are key to the future of finance in America!" he said. "Glad to see the @BlockchainLF endorse candidates from both parties who are taking digital asset policy and American innovation seriously."
