A quick look at MegaETH

MegaETH is a relatively new development that aims to enhance Ethereum's tech stack through a series of improvements. The main features of MegaETH are an optimized EVM execution engine that supports parallel processing of transactions and a new state trie design, which is more memory efficient. 

MegaETH claims to offer sub-millisecond latency and handle over 100,000 transactions per second, which is pertinent for applications requiring high throughput, such as games and perpetual exchanges, but it will take some time before we see MegaETH’s implementation being battle-tested.
