February Layer 2 Landscape Recap

The month-on-month (MoM) growth of Layer 2s’ (L2s) total value locked (TVL) saw a significant spike alongside the crypto markets in February. Aside from the significant rally in cryptocurrency prices, L2s also saw notable events such as Starknet’s STRK token airdrop and Blast’s mainnet launch.

The most notable L2 event in February would have to be the STRK token airdrop by Starknet. The STRK token injected over $940 million in liquidity to Starknet and $80 million to Ethereum. The fully diluted valuation of the STRK token is approximately $22 billion as of this writing.
