Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak is launching a new blockchain project.

Wozniak has invested in a blockchain energy saving company EFFORCE, and became the company's co-founder, Malta Independent wrote. He made the announcement at the pre-launch of the Delta Summit in Malta.

The company will be focusing on energy efficiency. According to Wozniak, it will allow people to save money on energy while being more eco-friendly.

He believes blockchain technology can contribute to lowering energy consumption without forcing people to change their habits.

“EFFORCE is a unique business model and we can have a great impact on the entrepreneurship,” he added.

The company has chosen Malta for its headquarters due to the island's pro-blockchain attitudes. The government's willingness to invest in blockchain projects has been an incentive, Wozniak added.
