Pornhub adds bitcoin and litecoin to its payment options

Adult entertainment website Pornhub is now accepting bitcoin (BTC) and litecoin (LTC) as payment methods.

The news means Pornhub’s over 130 million daily visitors can pay for premium subscriptions in the leading cryptocurrencies. Pornhub also accepts stablecoin Tether (USDT), Tron (TRX), privacy coins Verge (XVG) and Horizen (ZEN), and PumaPay (PMA) token.

“Our team continues to pave the way for tech development, testing and implementing new technology for everyday consumers,” said Corey Price, vice president at Pornhub, in a press release shared with The Block on Tuesday.

While Pornhub has been accepting crypto since 2018, the payment option has not seen significant growth, Price told The Block in March. But notably, around 10% of its adult performers were paid in crypto at the time. It means while Pornhub models prefer crypto payouts, the website's users are not so keen to pay in crypto.
