Another bitcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF) proposal has been submitted to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), this time by Cboe BZX Exchange, CoinDesk reports.

Cboe’s VanEck/SolidX proposal has been published in the Federal Register today, officially starting the 45-day period the SEC needs to make an initial decision regarding the application.

The clock is also ticking for NYSE Arca's Bitwise Asset Management proposal, which appeared in the register on Feb. 15.

So far, the SEC has yet to approve a bitcoin ETF, however, this could change if all of its requirements are met. Eventually, a bitcoin ETF will see an SEC approval, SEC Commissioner Robert J. Jackson Jr. said in an interview earlier this month.
