Fabian Vogelsteller, the developer credited for formalizing the underlying code of most ICOs (the ERC-20 token standard), proposed a reversible ICO or RICO at Devcon4. A RICO would allow token investors to take back their allocated funds at any stage of the project, thus providing some protection for would-be investors. The RICO would use a special-purpose smart contract that would enable investors to send funds back to themselves. (Source: CoinDesk)
