The new version of Ripple's flagship product xCurrent 4.0 started rolling out in September according to CoinDesk. The upgrade is notably much more closely integrated with xRapid, which is Ripple's product that uses XRP. xCurrent's most significant clients including American Express, Santander and Itaú are currently in the process of transitioning to the newest version of xCurrent. Ripple spokesperson told CoinDesk that none of the xCurrent 4.0 users have opted for xRapid so far. In October, Ripple announced that xRapid, which helps clients cut down on cost and setup time, moved into production with three companies - MercuryFX, Cuallix and Catalyst Corporate Federal Credit Union.
