Robinhood reports 'major outage' for its crypto trading services as bitcoin slides below $30K

The popular trading app Robinhood is suffering from a "major outage" of its crypto trading services, according to the firm's website.

"We are experiencing issues with crypto trading. We are working to resolve this as soon as possible," Robinhood wrote at 9:49 a.m. EST.

Robinhood is also reporting a Web app issue, per the site: "We are experiencing a service disruption with our Web app. Our iOS and Android apps are still operational. We are working to resolve this issue as soon as possible." That issue is tagged as a "partial outage."

Meanwhile, the price of bitcoin had fallen as low as about 9% over a twenty-four hours period, as shown in the TradingView chart below:

At press time, bitcoin is trading hands at roughly $29,790 apiece on Coinbase. Bitcoin's price hit a daily low of $29,156 before rising to its current level.
