FTX is a cryptocurrency exchange and trading platform that was founded in 2019 by Sam Bankman-Fried. It rose to prominence to become one of the leading crypto exchanges, offering a wide range of trading products, including futures, options, and leveraged tokens. The exchange filed for bankruptcy protection in November 2022 following a liquidity crisis and allegations of fraud.
